WhatsApp Business API in the UAE, on your own number
The WhatsApp Business API is Meta’s official way to connect a WhatsApp number to software, so your team, an AI agent and your CRM all answer from it. Webly sets it up for businesses in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE, on their own number, in two weeks, then runs it with you.
When does a UAE business need the API, not the app?
Most businesses here start on the free WhatsApp Business app, which runs on one phone plus up to 4 linked devices. When inquiries pile up, staff pass the phone around, nobody answers after 10 pm, and no one knows which ad brought which customer.
You need the API when:
- your team outgrows those devices
- an AI agent should reply at night
- ads open WhatsApp and each chat must be tracked to a sale
- you send reminders at volume
Through the API, your team, the AI agent and the CRM share the number.

What happens on your number once the API is live
- The ad Someone taps your click-to-WhatsApp ad at 9:48 pm, and the chat opens on your own number.
- WhatsApp The message reaches the API, not a phone, tagged with the ad that brought it.
- The AI agent It answers in 5 seconds, in Arabic or English, and hands over to a person when needed: see the AI sales agent for WhatsApp.
- The CRM The chat becomes a lead with a next step. After 24 quiet hours, follow-ups go out as approved templates: see WhatsApp CRM for UAE teams.
- The payment When the buyer is ready, a payment link goes out in the chat and the CRM marks it paid.
- Customer: Hi, I saw your ad. Anything free Thursday evening?
- AI agent: Hi! Thursday we have 6:30 pm or 7:15 pm. Which suits you?
- Customer: 6:30 please
- AI agent: Booked for Thursday, 6:30 pm. We’ll remind you here on Wednesday.
- CRM: booking saved, Wednesday reminder queued as an approved template

What does the WhatsApp Business API cost in the UAE?
Two parts. First, Meta charges per delivered message, by category and the customer’s country code; messages customers send you are free. For UAE numbers (+971), Meta’s AED rate card, effective 1 October 2026, lists:
- Marketing (offers, announcements): AED 0.2115 per message
- Utility (confirmations, reminders) and authentication (login codes): AED 0.0576
- Service (free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer’s last message): AED 0.0576, after 1,000 free per number each month
Since 1 October 2026, Meta charges again for service replies beyond those 1,000 and for utility templates sent inside the 24-hour window. A chat from a click-to-WhatsApp ad on a phone, answered within 24 hours, opens a free window of up to 7 days. Meta may change rates on the first day of each quarter.
Second, our fee: a custom quote, paid monthly on a 3, 6 or 12-month plan. The longer the plan, the lower the monthly price.

Who owns the number, and what does Meta require?
The number is yours: Meta’s docs say businesses that join through its signup flow own all their WhatsApp assets and keep full access to WhatsApp Manager, which no provider can restrict. Your chats and contacts sit in the CRM we run for you, and we do not sell client data (privacy policy).
Meta also requires a person’s opt-in, naming your business, before you message them, and advises a clear way to opt out. We build both into your forms and chats.
The “green tick” is, in Meta’s docs, a blue checkmark for an Official Business Account. Meta reviews requests from verified businesses with an approved display name after 30 days on the platform, and can say no.
